In cooperation with the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) the University of Kaiserslautern organises the KI 2008. This traditional conference on artificial intelligence is held for the 31st time and is scheduled for october 23 to 26. Embedded into the 20th birthday of the DFKI in Kaiserslautern there will be two exhibition sites. Together with other research groups the Robotics Research Lab will present some of the research platforms.

The Administration for Education, Science, Adolescence and Culture (Ministerium für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Jugend und Kultur) of the State Rhineland-Palatinate organises the Tag der Technologie (Technology Day) on thursday November 22 of 2007. Host is the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) in Kaiserslautern. Embedded into the core topic Ambient Intelligence the Robotics Research Lab (University of Kaiserslautern) presents current technology in the domain of robotics.

At October 18 to 19 the Robotics Research Lab (University of Kaiserslautern) hosts the expert talk on Autonomous Mobile Systems (AMS). The AMS is one of the most important national symposia for mobile robotics and has a tradition of more than 20 years. In the context of this event an exhibition is organised during which research groups all over Germany present and demonstrate their systems.
