For smart and easy mobility on the campus, we are introducing a smart shuttle, which is planned to drive autonomously from building to building to offer you a cozy ride. Last week RRLAB received a driver-less shuttle with the basic configuration. It can accommodate 10 passengers. Presently, we are testing the safety of this shuttle. Later, it will be upgraded with state of the art sensors to recognize pedestrians, interact with them, and get to its commuters/costumers at their doorsteps.
The concept is explained by Prof. Berns in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIZI5ZVq60k
Further information can be found on the robot's page, the project-page and on our social media channels.
