On Thursday, Minister Daniela Schmitt presented Prof. Dr. Karsten Berns with a grant of 780,000 Euro from the budget of the Corona Special Fund.
During her visit in our lab, the minister informed herself about current research at the chair of robotics, especially in the range of autonomous offroad-vehicles. The grant for the project "Autonome Nutzfahrzeuge für den Katastrophenschutz von morgen" (Autonomous Commercial Vehicles for tomorrows emergency services) will especially be used for further research on our Unimog U5023.
