Vita

Jochen Hirth studied computer sciences at the University of Kaiserslautern. During this time, he specialized in robotics. In 2006 he finished his project thesis with the title "Realisierung emotionaler Gesichtsausdrücke mit Hilfe des menschenähnlichen Roboterkopfes 'ROMAN'". The completion of his studies was the diploma thesis with the title "Steuerungsarchitektur zur Darstellung von Trieben und Emotionen eines humanoiden Roboters". Since December 2006 he is a PhD student and research assistant at the Robotics Research Lab of the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Kaiserslautern. His research interest includes humanoid robotics, social human-robot interaction, as well as emotion- and behavior-based control architectures.
