Zuhair Zafar is from Pakistan and currently working as a doctoral student in the department of computer science since August 2014. His area of research includes analysis of human emotions and behavior in the context of Human-Robot-Interaction. During his time in the group, he has developed a robust and reliable perception system of the humanoid robot, ROBIN. 

Previously, he graduated with Electrical engineering in his bachelor in 2011 from Government College University, Lahore. His senior year project was "Vision based Crowd Attendance system". He completed his master in Computer engineering from Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2013. His Master's thesis topic was "Facial Expressions and Behavior Recognition for Assistive Robots".
